Malgré son nom italien, cet authentique riad marocain est un véritable havre de paix au coeur de la médina. Situé dans le quartier pittoresque de BaB Aylan à une quinzaine de minutes à pied de la place Jemaa el fna et des souks. Décoré avec beaucoup de goût, l'établissement ouvert très récemment dispose de tout le confort attendu et d'un personnel adorable, toujours aux petits soins. Leur accueil chaleureux et le service irréprochable ont vraiment contribué à faire de notre séjour à Marrakech un souvenir déjà inoubliable. This was our first visit to Marrakesh and we looked at the reviews of this place, and the fact that this was a newly opened riad and so we opted to Stay here. To anyone who has never visited Marrakesh before we were initially very wary of what to expect. Basically if you stay in a riad in the main medina (within the main centre within the city walls) I guarantee that you will not find the entrance to the riad you are staying at the first time around. There are no neon signs showing where you are staying, just a door that displays the name of the riad. We got dropped off at bab aylan and within 30 seconds there was a local following us asking where we were staying, for about 5 minutes he followed us, knowing probably that we would not find where we were going, then we eventually asked him where our riad was and he showed us exactly where we needed to be and he even knocked on the riad door and waited with us until we were let in. We thought it was scary at first but the reality was that this was a local who (for a little tip of course) was just friendly and willing to help you get to where you are staying. However, once you know where your riad is then you have nothing else to worry about thereafter. The riad itself was extremely nice and beautifully decorated, and the staff were impeccably friendly and helpful throughout our stay, especially a guy named Hamza who made us feel assured and welcome from the moment we first walked in. He served us a traditional mint tea( which we weren’t sure about at first but is actually really nice, especially with a little sugar) and some sweet treats before showing us to our room. Literally you could not fault the staff here as they were all amazing! The riad is about 15min walk from the main square and the souks where the main tourist areas are, and we always felt safe when walking to and from the riad. We were also less than 2 mins from a main pick up/drop off location for taxis and tours, so where it may not be ideal from one perspective it is from another. We also had the privilege of being the very first people to trial a cooking course which was brilliant, although we could not eat all of the food we cooked as there was so much, and we also unfortunately booked another tour in the afternoon so the course was a little more rushed than expected (which was really our fault as we booked another tour which picked us up an hour earlier than we booked, so a word of advice if you want to learn to cook traditional Moroccan food do not book another tour the same day). At the end of our visit we were also escorted to where we our taxi was picking us up (at bab aylan). Overall I thoroughly recommend anyone thinking of staying in a riad to stay here if you want to stay a little outside of the main centre. For someone who is visiting Marrakesh the first time it can be daunting at first sight , but we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and we would definitely recommend this Riad to anyone looking visit Marrakesh, and after experiencing the city for the first time we would definitely visit Marrakesh again.Posted onTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Am stat câteva zile la Palazzo Montefiore și deși la început am primit camera greșită, după ce am sesizat acest lucru ne-au dat repede camera corectă. Tot personalul este extrem de amabil, orice rugăminte este respectată, te ajută cu tot ce ai nevoie, sunt foarte calzi și primitori. Am avut plăcerea de a mânca câteva mese la Riad și au fost sincer printre cele mai bune mese din Marrakech! Complimente bucătarului! La cameră nu ne-a plăcut faptul ca nu sunt televizoare, ca ușile nu izolează prea bine și scârțâie. De asemenea ar fi fost super să ne putem face o cafea dimineața în cameră. Our visit to the Riad Palazzo Montefiore was last minute booking due to being let down elsewhere. Yousef went out of his was to help us with the booking and organisation of airport transfers and excursions that needed to be arranged at short notice. When we arrived, we were greeted at the transfer drop of by a member of staff who helped us locate the Riad. We went through the door and wow what a place! Absolutely immaculate and designed with French/Italian/Moroccan influences. Moroccan tee and cakes were presented, and we sat whilst directed on what to see and where to go with the help of a map and lots of circles. Immensely helpful. The staff were amazing, nothing was too much trouble, including sending out a staff member when we (and another couple of guests) got lost on the first night. Special mention should go to Youssef, Hamza, Aimad and Omar, although every member of staff we spoke to were very helpful. Rooms were very spacious. Beds were very comfortable. Toiletries were of a very high quality. Overall we were very impressed with the room. Hamza and Aimad went out of their way to help with advice on where to eat and booked tables for us at Café Arab, highly recommended but you do need to book if you want the roof top or terrace areas. Road Palazzo Montefiore can best be described as an oasis of calm in a city of noise and chaos. I highly recommend this Riad and everything that goes with it. The rooms are spacious, spotless, and incredibly comfortable. The entire riad is beautifully designed. The staff were exceptional: warm, attentive, and always happy to help with anything we needed. Their hospitality truly made our stay unforgettable. Breakfast was also excellent: beautifully served and delicious. The Riad is brand new, decorated with style and the rooms are spacious and very comfortable. Excellent massage and delicious breakfast. The staff is very welcoming and makes us feel at home.
